Our Anxiety Therapy
Our Anxiety Therapy can help you overcome the symptoms of anxiety. Everyone feels anxious from time to time. Experiencing some mild anxiety can actually help us to be more alert and focused when we face challenging or threatening circumstances. But when we experience extreme fear and worry that doesn't subside, we may be suffering more than most people. We offer help for:
-
Generalized Anxiety: recurring fears or worries about the future, such as about health or finances, often with a persistent sense that something bad is just about to happen. The reason for the intense feelings of anxiety may be difficult to identify, but the fears and worries are very real and can make it hard to concentrate on daily tasks.
-
Panic Attacks: sudden surges of intense fear or discomfort that also include physical symptoms of anxiety such as, increased heart rate, sweating, trembling or shaking, shortness of breath, a choking feeling, chest pain or discomfort, nausea or abdominal distress, feeling dizzy or lighheaded, chills or heat sensations, numbness, or tingling. Panic attacks may be expected or unexpected and often include a fear of losing control or "going crazy."
-
Social Anxiety: a marked or intense fear of being scrutinized by others in social situations. This often includes worry about being judged or rejected by others, or fears of appearing anxious in front of other people. People who have social anxiety may avoid participating in social events that are likely to provoke the fear or anxiety, or will endure social situations in spite of how much they suffer.
